• Welcome to the Decades Clean Forums!
INTRO
Post a Bio Decades Clean welcomes your participation in our Discussion Forums. These forums offer you the chance to interact with members of our community. We ask that you post with respect for all members. This is a community so, when you post, we encourage you to tell your fellow community members not only who you are but a little about who you are - not just a cryptic moniker, but a bit of a bio. It enriches the discussion to know who's "behind the post."
Customize your Profile You also have the option of adding information to your personal profile. It helps if you add a location, such as "New York City, New York, USA," or "Rotterdam, Netherlands." You can upload a picture, which is called an "Avatar." This will always be quite small, so keep this in mind when choosing images to upload. You can add a "Personalized Text" message, which is always displayed directly beneath your Avatar.
Consent In order to keep these forums enjoyable and interesting for all of our users, we ask simply that you follow these minimal rules. By participating in the Forums, you are consenting to these rules. Violators may be warned, suspended from posting, or barred from the forums, by a collective decision of the moderators.
POSTING
1. Exercise common sense and be considerate toward your fellow users. Diversity of opinion and intelligent civil discourse is encouraged; by the same token, insults and “flaming” are not tolerated. We can disagree with an idea of another community member without attacking that individual.
At the lower right-hand corner of every post is a link, called "Report to moderator." This link will allow you to type a brief comment, and a PM will be sent to all admins and moderators, including your comment, alerting them to the post in question. This is a good way to let them know of a post that is problematic, or that requires further attention. Please use the reporting mechanism in good faith; people reporting posts out of spite will lose posting privileges.
2."Decades Clean” and its moderators reserve the right to delete posts and/or whole conversations we determine are of an abusive or disruptive nature. Posts deemed to be of this nature will be moved to a non-public area where all the moderators can review it, have a discussion, and decide if any action is warranted. If they decide it should be removed, they just delete it. If they decide it just needs some problematic parts removed, they edit it and put it back. If they decide there is nothing wrong with it, they put it back. The original poster gets a private message explaining what is/was going on. While the post may be moved to non-public review by one moderator, the final disposition of posts and conversations will be decided by a vote from four of six moderators; not just one. Generally within 24 hours.
3. You alone are responsible for the material you post. You will not knowingly post content or links to content that violates the copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right of any third party and you agree that you will remove the same should you discover that you have violated this provision. This includes copywritten avatars. Likewise, you may not post content or links to content that is libelous, defamatory, offensive, obscene, racist, abusive, that violates a third party's right to privacy, that otherwise violates any applicable local, state, national or international law, or that is otherwise inappropriate.
We shall have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the forums to determine compliance with all sections of this Agreement and any other operating rules established by us. We shall have the right to edit, refuse to post, remove, or otherwise alter any material submitted to or posted on the forums. Without limiting the foregoing, we shall have the right to remove any material that we find to be in violation of this agreement or inappropriate for any reason whatever, without consent.
Notwithstanding all of the foregoing, users remain solely responsible for the content of their messages.
We further reserve the right to remove a user's privilege to post content in our discussion forums. Suspended members who re-register with new accounts will have those accounts deactivated without notice.
